App Inventor is an introductory course to Android App development for 11+ year old students. App Inventor utilizes drag and drop programming blocks to develop Apps. Students will explore the basic technology that they use every day. They will learn how to create their own Apps and download them onto their mobile devices or tablets. Moreover, block-based coding methods benefit children intellectually and creatively. App Inventor goes beyond this to provide kids with the tools they need to make a difference. What will the kids learn: - Building apps by dragging and dropping blocks - Assembling blocks that define the components’ behaviours - Lessons on app-building structure, mechanism of android applications and platforms - Testing apps to get a clear vision of the mechanism and behaviour of a built application on a device - Packaging your built applications and installing them on a device
