HINDI LANGUAGE WINTER CAMP 2025 (JLT) -->

The Hindi Language Camp helps children discover the beauty of the Hindi language through fun, creative, and practical communication. The three-week program blends interactive learning, cultural exposure, and everyday conversation practice.

Week 1 – Greetings & Self

• Ages 5–9 (Play-Based Learning): Children learn basic greetings such as नमस्ते (namaste – hello) and अलविदा (alvida – goodbye), colors, numbers 1–10, and family words through songs, rhymes, and playful games.

• Ages 10–15 (Communicative Focus): Students practice self-introduction using phrases like मेरा नाम ... है (mera naam … hai – my name is …) and मैं ... साल का/की हूँ (main … saal ka/ki hoon – I am … years old), and focus on pronunciation and conversation flow.

Week 2 – Daily Life & Environment

• Ages 5–9 (Play-Based Learning): Kids learn about animals, simple commands such as बैठो (baitho – sit) and खड़े हो जाओ (khade ho jao – stand up), and express feelings with words like खुश (khush – happy) and दुखी (dukhi – sad). Activities include flashcards and movement-based games.

• Ages 10–15 (Communicative Focus): Learners discuss their daily routine, time, weather, and school life using guided conversations and expressions like आज मौसम कैसा है? (aaj mausam kaisa hai? – How is the weather today?).

Week 3 – Food & Culture

• Ages 5–9 (Play-Based Learning): Children learn common food names, express preferences using मुझे ... पसंद है (mujhe … pasand hai – I like …), and enjoy simple cultural crafts inspired by Indian traditions.

• Ages 10–15 (Communicative Focus): Students role-play ordering food in Hindi using polite phrases such as कृपया (kripya – please) and धन्यवाद (dhanyavaad – thank you), make simple requests, and explore India’s festivals, cuisine, and diverse cultures.

By the end of the camp, participants will be able to express themselves confidently in Hindi while connecting with Indian culture through stories, songs, and hands-on activities.
