Online Speech and Debate Course

This is course meant especially for those who desire to excel in the art of public speaking. This course is designed to develop the candidate’s language skills, self- presentation skills, speech ability, convincing ability, research ability, and also reasoning and argumentative ability. The course is presented in three modules – Speeches, Debates & Elocution. Module wise details are as follows: Speech: --------  Discover ways public speaking is present in real life situations  Identify information management strategies and techniques that clarify and enhance communication  Identify and apply elements of a successful speech  Apply elements of successful speaking  Speak in front of an audience comprised of peers and educators  Identify the effects of audience and purpose on the form of the public speaking activity  Recognize and applaud the courage and effort needed to perform publicly  Reflect and evaluate on your own speaking with the purpose of improvement  Prepare and deliver a various types of speeches Debate: -------  Demonstrate the parliamentary style of debate  Apply a variety of research strategies to prepare for debate  Identify good speaking skills  Apply knowledge of good speaking skills to debate presentation Elocution: ----------  Elocution is the training in the correct form of pronunciation; Diction and the use of body gestures to supplement verbal expression.  The training in the nuances of pronunciation, stress and intonation and the rhythm of speech.  This course is ideal for children and teenagers desirous of attaining eloquence in speech.  This course helps in attaining fluency attuned to the rhythmic pattern of speech. Elocution is the stepping stone to Rhetoric and Public Oratory.
